Welcome to DiveLogger

Dear visitor,

DiveLogger is a program which should make it easy for you to manage the dives you've made and are going to make by offering a simple but effective interface/GUI where you can store your dives on your computer. DiveLogger is actually a php script which uses the php-gtk extension to render the GUI and uses sqlite as database backend for storing dives and other related data.

05-05-2005: DiveLogger 0.5 under construction...

Using the latest php 5.1 snapshot and php-gtk2 from cvs I'm experimenting a bit with all this. It turns out to work quite good, though some classes/functions aren't completely supported in php-gtk yet which holds me from releasing a new version. For the impatient I'll put some screens here: Screenshots

27-12-2004: DiveLogger 0.2 released!
24-12-2004: Finished the code where you can actually view the dives you've made.
20-12-2004: DiveLogger 0.1 released.
19-12-2004: Made some real progress on the program today. Expect an alpha release soon.

Please pick the right version, if you're using Windows pick the .zip file otherwise you should pick the .tar.gz file.

Requirements

PHP 4.3.x or later in CLI-mode (PHP5 doesn't work yet with php-gtk!)
php-gtk-1.0.1 or later is highly recommended
PEAR-sqlite extention

Windows users should be fine when they download the latest bundled version of php and php-gtk here: http://gtk.php.net/do_download.php?download_file=php-gtk-1.0.1a-win32.zip.
They'll also need the latest sqlite library for Windows which has to be put in the same directory as the bundled software above, it's just one file and you can download it here: http://snaps.php.net/win32/PECL_STABLE/php_sqlite.dll

Currently there are no fancy install wizards or anything. First I want to make the program useable before adding other neat things. Look at the websites of the different programs for directions on how to install those programs.
